Complex Needs

Blue Sky Enabling has been accredited by Wiltshire County Council as preferred provider of specialist support for people with complex needs across the whole County.  This includes people with severe and profound learning difficulties, people with physical disabilities and profound health needs, and people on the autistic spectrum.

Our approach at Blue Sky Enabling, when working with people with complex needs, is to enable them to live active engaged lives with the dignity that they deserve.  We work in a multi-agency person-centred way.  We co-ordinate with each person’s support network including Social Workers, Mental Health Teams, Drug and Alcohol Workers, Consultants, Psychologists, GPs, hospital staff,  District Matrons, District Nurses, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, to ensure people’s needs are met.

When people have had a stay in hospital we work with the hospital staff to ensure they are discharged safely and quickly from hospital and are able to return home with the right care and support.  Where appropriate we will liaise with the person’s GP to set up a ‘virtual ward’.

We are able to support people with the following:

  • Anxiety disorders, depression and other mental health issues;
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Severe learning difficulties
  • ADHD, ASD and Asperger
  • End of life care;
  • Continuing health care;
  • Continence care and catheter management;
  • PEG feeding;
  • Administration of medication;
  • Physio-exercises.
