Live-in support is where service users are supported 24/7 to live in their own homes with a small dedicated team of staff covering several days to 4 weeks at a time with day breaks, with staff teams of up to 3 people.  These staff are uniquely positioned to develop a close relationship with the service user so they are able to more effectively manage the physical and emotional well-being of the individual they support.

As the live-in enabler will have such an integral role within the service user’s home, we encourage and support our service users and their families to have input into the recruitment process to ensure a good match between the staff and the service user.  This is part of the best fit human resource management practises that we employ at Blue Sky Enabling, and forms the basis of our bespoke staff development programmes for live-in support.
